GoDaddy Vulnerability Allows Domain Hijacking
2014 had many security breaches with companies facing substantial financial losses. Ebay, JP Morgan Chase, Adobe, Sony, Verizon Wireless, Home Depot and tons more have been compromised; to add to this list: GoDaddy. Internet domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy received a report from a web application security researcher and penetration testing consultant in New York about a vulnerability on GoDaddy’s infrastructure. Already patched, this vulnerability placed all customers at risk.
This isn’t the first time GoDaddy faced a critical issue. Back in September 2012, GoDaddy and all of their customers, had all their services completely offline. Websites were offline, emails were offline, and business was offline.
